The militaristic genius of Junya Watanabe is in full effect for Spring/Summer ‘19. While the designer’s many sets of outerwear and trousers also display his characteristically meticulous design, the series of utility vests are most definitely the stars of the show.
Among them is the warming Utility Pinstripe Down Vest, which utilizes a mixture of wool and various synthetics for a piece of uninhibited versatility. A hidden Velcro placket sits as the main closure for the entire body, opening to reveal a camo-printed lining that acts as its own piece once removed. A large compartment sits on the entire chest with slanted hand pockets on both sides, while straps, which surround the entire construction, allow for variability in both sizing and fit.
