White Mountaineering Autumn/Winter '19

White Mountaineering Autumn/Winter '19

White Mountaineering returns to reframe the concept of militaristic, taking its inspired pieces into a realm of pattern-heavy ensembles and utilitarian make-ups. While surely an extension of many of its previous endeavors, AW19 amazes in its refinement of the style.

Including a few teases to forthcoming collaborations — as is typical of many other runway shows — the team behind the Japanese label showcase a characteristic love for its garments as each piece is styled meticulously next to others in tonality, fit, and motif. Pockets find themselves in full capacity along the chest of blousons, long parkas, Tankers, and much more while straps come adorned along the chest of its tops, adding in maximalist elements to otherwise subtle pieces. Beside an arrangement of new prints — some bold and winter-facing while others muted or camouflage-covered — is quite a unique add-in for the label: a plaid patchwork of warming textiles. Robes, long-line shirting, and a brown-hued overcoat take on the mismatched design, finishing a symphony of new ideas.

Make sure to take a look at the full looks in detail below.
