With the menswear collection beaming with a wealth of ingenuity, it’s no surprise that kolor’s womenwear line packs an equal punch. Connected with many of the themes found, the AW19 selection is a chaotic mess of new works that feel unequivocally intentional.

Though he owns a penchant for the aggressive blurring of one’s silhouette, Junichi Abe flaunts an admirable control, creating cuts that — while surely leaning towards the wide and boxy — flatter the models perfectly. Mock necks and various shirting come adorned with frills, attaching flower-styled lace along the neckline for a small dose of femininity. Military blousons, oversized peacoats, and asymmetric track jackets develop that overt connection to its more masculine contemporary, but its series of patchwork skirts, patterned shirt dresses, cinched waist trousers, and fur-covered ensembles define something that can be styled by no other.
