Song for the Mute Offers its Unique Take on Four Birkenstock Styles

Song for the Mute Offers its Unique Take on Four Birkenstock Styles

Song for the Mute engages in dialogue with the footwear brand Birkenstock, reconstructing four of its styles through the brand’s signature lens.

The collaboration builds on Birkenstock’s cultural significance in creative disciplines, where individuals use the footwear for its comfort and practicality, as well as for its role in extending identity. With this in mind, four distinct characters emerge in the campaign: The Gardener, The Rebel, The Artist, and The Collector, each carrying their own process, memory, and signature garments. The lineup includes four footwear styles: the Super Birki 2.0 clog in Cork Brown; the ‘London’ in paint-splattered suede; the ‘Paris’ in black pony hair; and the ‘Amsterdam’ in black polished leather, which rounds out the quartet. In true form, Song for the Mute leverages texture and colour as its primary expression. A handful of apparel styles accompany the shoes, with a t-shirt and coveralls/jumpsuits designed for each campaign muse.
