KEEN and 18 East Find Middle Ground on the Jasper Zionic
KEEN tags New York menswear label 18 East to take on its fast-hiker silhouette, the Jasper Zionic, which launched in 2024, in a convergence of outdoor utility and streetwear.
Since its inception, the Jasper Zionic has been the recipient of several in-line iterations and collaborative reworks, proving itself to be a canvas for creative expression. Here, 18 East offers its take on the shoe, using traditional stitching, reflective embroidery, elevated material choices, and a refined, neutral palette considered for everyday wear. The upper, featuring a traditional all-over Rajasthani stitch pattern, is made of ballistic nylon, with hits of suede on the toe box, tongue, and the heel cup, positioning the Zionic in functional territory while paying homage to Eastern craft methods. The tread on the outsole has been upgraded to a more aggressive stud pattern for increased traction and stability, matching the upper’s ruggedness. The Jasper Zionic arrives in either Black or Green.
