COLLABORATION: eye_C and Hanwag Return to the Gritstone II GTX
Hanwag and eye_C return for the third time, revisiting the previously released Gritstone II GTX, one of the German outfitter’s most versatile and iconic silhouettes.
Following the limited debut of the ‘Camel’ colourway from eye_C’s Superstore pop-up last November, the Gritstone II returns here in two new colourways, Cyan Blue and Mulberry, alongside a reissue of the original colour. Blending technical precision with thoughtful design, eye_C’s redux of the Gritstone II GTX features updated design details, including silver D-ring eyelets, a utility-inspired heel loop, and stitched logos nodding to both collaborators. The upper is constructed from suede with mesh inserts, while a PFAS-free ePE GORE-TEX membrane offers waterproof breathability, and the Vibram Ultragrip II Kronplatz outsole ensures comfort and safety across various terrains. Webbing-mounted eyelets provide a secure fit without pressure on the foot, blending functionality with refined visuals. Together, Hanwag and eye_C communicate a shared appreciation for alpine heritage and refined design, imbuing this spirit into the Gritstone II GTX, a low hiker that is comfortable in the city and on the trails.
Each colourway comes equipped with a set of three interchangeable lace options.
