Words Sounds Colors & Shapes Opens the Doors to its New Store in Tokyo

Joining its flagship in Paris, Words Sounds Colors & Shapes has opened up shop in Tokyo’s Nakameguro area, a stone’s throw from nonnative and Mountain Research’s stores.

At first glance, the exterior is surrounded by shrubs and trees, with a painted green facade to match. Moving inside, visitors are greeted by a cacophony of contrasting elements from wood-clad walls, stainless steel clothes rails, glass display cases, and metal shelving. The walls are decorated with vintage artefacts collected by Ramdane Touhami, the founder of the store, from their travels - from framed artwork to flags. Words Sounds Colors & Shapes’s new location will be home to its own line of products, as well as a carefully curated selection of wares. Starting this June a cafe will also open on the second floor of the store.
