An Early Look at Ranra's Spring/Summer '26 Collection

An Early Look at Ranra's Spring/Summer '26 Collection

Icelandic menswear label Ranra, headed by Arnar Mār Jōnsson and Luke Stevens, caused a stir during Copenhagen Fashion Week with its Spring/Summer ‘26 collection, adhering to its unapologetically Icelandic design approach.

Spring/Summer ‘26 quickly becomes a quiet metaphor for observing the end of Winter and embracing what lies ahead: potential, life, growth, and light. From concept to material choice, design to styling, every decision is intentionally rooted in storytelling, going beyond producing clothing just for the sake of it and using it as a vessel for the culture and history of Ranra’s native Iceland. This subtlety powered the collection, challenging the notion of a traditional runway show as models moved freely through the space, as press and onlookers watched just meters away. Leather jackets adopted deep, earthy tones, mirroring the soil of their native landscape - a starting point for life - while airy silhouettes crafted from cotton-linen and silk-ripstop shorts mirrored the sweeping caresses of the wind, a force vital for growth. Woollen sweaters honour traditional methods, materials, and silhouettes, while bottoms, outerwear, and shirting closely align with the brand’s modern and transitional intentions. Accompanying the apparel are several iterations of Ranra’s ‘KALT’ footwear style, born from the brand’s in-house programme and an evolution of past collaborations with the likes of Salomon.
