WTAPS Lends its Touch to New Balance's ABZORB 2010 Silhouette
Once again, WTAPS lends its design flair to another New Balance silhouette, this time the ABZORB 2010, deviating from the duo’s past Made in USA projects.
Launched earlier this year, the ABZORB 2010 fuses classic New Balance tech, namely ABZORB cushioning, first introduced in 1993, with a modern twist. Leveraging colour play for effect, the upper is dressed in signature grey mesh, customary for the Bostonian label, with military green suede overlays, New Balance’s ‘N’ logo on the medial and lateral side, and WTVUA embroidery on the heel - ‘WTAPS VISUAL UPARMORED’. The functionality of the ABZORB technology is exposed by bold lime green pods fixed to the white midsole, drawing our eyes there. Throughout the shoe, there remains hits of collaborative branding on the heel and insole, denoting both WTAPS and New Balance.
