Sage Nation Autumn/Winter '22
Exploring the idea of ‘Formally Casuals’, Sage Nation’s Autumn/Winter ‘22 collection continues to explore garment design with consideration for the brand’s dual-heritage nature.
Sage Nation is managing to keep riding the momentum from a successful 2021 that saw the label mark its collaborative debut with The Garbstore and a capsule with Helly Hansen’s HH-118389225 on a series of deconstructed styles.
Turning its nose up at adversity, Sage Nation forms a collection that is honest to the brand without chasing consumer habits. AW ‘22 seeks to embody a sense of timelessness that is hard to find in an age full of endless trends and a yearning for something new. In terms of inspiration and approach, a theme of Japanese minimalism meets the attitude of full-frontal British terrace culture, producing garments that are sleek in appearance yet replete with design cues that nod towards the terrace scene. As a result, we see a number of voluminous silhouettes in the form of bottoms, shirting, outerwear and knitwear that are ergonomically engineered and fit seamlessly into a modular wardrobe. Box pleat trousers, wool overcoats and elbow-less sweaters are a select number of pieces that honour Sage Nation’s identity. Fabrics and textures are handled expertly with Seersucker, heavyweight British wool, Swiss Ventile® and 100% recycled nylon acting as the construction of many of the pieces.
The collection will be available later in the year from a handful of international stockists.
