YSTRDY’s TMRRW, led by prior nonnative assistant designer Kazuya Sugano, builds upon its foundation of casual, vintage-inspired clothing as it showcases a versatile combination of layers filled with deep blues and earth tones for its Spring/Summer ‘21 lookbook.
Essential layering pieces are the highlight of the Spring-ready collection such as half zip shirts, striped tees, light outerwear, and rib knit sweaters. The hickory stripe half-zip shirt incorporates a relaxed fit as a result of its deep gussett and white paint splatter effect in the front. Meanwhile, a tamer sun dried cotton katsuragi iteration is perfect for everyday wear that pairs seamlessly with fitted thermal shirts and striped tees. The outerwear selection returns with the Pacifism Puff Jacket, crafted with a lux cotton satin fabric in a navy and white colorway and featuring hanging drawstrings at the hem. The nylon twill half coat comes in a sturdy nylon twill fabric in a vintage wash with military functional elements such as deep pockets, additional chest storage, and contrast colored button flap over the front zip. A more minimal version of the jacket utilizes a simple chest zip that is complemented by their 13 oz light-wash denim, a flared bootcut version in a dark wash, and their relaxed easy rib cotton sweats. Their footwear line presents the Aviator Zip Boots in collaboration with Phigvel and the more casual Prarie Boot, their take on the iconic Wallabee.
