Following up the previous expanse that was SS19, kolor extends many of its playful silhouettes and crazed pattern work into the Autumn/Winter ethos. With Junichi honing in on the motifs in which he finds pleasure, the collection’s themselves begin to beam with even more life.

Asymmetry lies at the core of the entire range, pushing visual interest by way of mismatched patterns, swatches of contrasting materials, and even a modification of length. Many a piece comes transformed in the iconic vision, further removing them from the contemporary in typical Abe family fashion. Paisley shirting, distressed scarfs, patchwork cardigans, and sort of cut-and-pasted V-neck sweaters add bold arrangements to the mix while outerwear focuses more on other elements. Plaid toggle coats rely on over-proportioned hoods and wide silhouettes — keeping in line with the overall profile created by the pants interaction — while a wool overcoat refrains from choosing between a knee and mid length cut. With these themes translating to many of the other garments, Kolor has appropriated an entire arsenal in their own style.
