TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist Spring/Summer 19
Takahiro Miyashita brings back his eclectic design sense with The Soloist’s Spring/Summer 19 collection titled “Song #2 (temporary) Written by: (Oscar / Takahiro).
The seemingly arbitrary name for the collection alludes to the the designer’s core inspirations and his surprising connection to the son of a friend, Oscar. Takahiro mixes bold patterns, striking graphics, and unique silhouettes to create a cohesive collection inspired by 90s grunge. With the aid of imagery from Seattle-based photographer Charles Peterson, Takahiro creates garments honoring his idol, Kurt Cobain, and the grunge subculture.
