SOUTH2 WEST8 Taps NANGA and SUBU on a Down Capsule
SOUTH2 WEST8 has partnered with NANGA and SUBU on a down-focused capsule for Fall.
Bringing together three distinct approaches to Japanese outdoor design, the collaboration combines SOUTH2 WEST8’s fishing-inspired utility with NANGA’s technical material expertise and SUBU’s approach to insulated footwear. The FISHING DOWN VEST is constructed from NANGA’s signature waterproof and breathable AURORA TEX fabric, reworked through SOUTH2 WEST8’s functional design language. Twelve pockets across the front and a large game pocket at the rear provide generous storage, while fishing-wear details feature throughout. The same material carries over to the INSULATION SHOES, developed as a three-way collaboration between SOUTH2 WEST8, NANGA and SUBU. The familiar insulated silhouette is finished with each brand’s logo across the upper, bringing the three collaborators together in a single design.
