MEZZANINE and A.SOCIETY Create Two Aluminium Eyewear Styles
MEZZANINE, a London-based creative design entity by Graeme Gaughan, has collaborated with A.SOCIETY on a two-piece eyewear project, titled ‘ATMOS, anchored in translating atmospheric conditions into tangible products.
Named after contrasting cloud formations, ARCUS and CIRRUS explore two distinct expressions of light, movement and structure. ARCUS takes cues from the compressed energy of storm-front clouds through compact proportions, mirrored lenses and an integrated folding mechanism, while CIRRUS adopts a wider silhouette and rose-tinted lenses inspired by the lightness of high-altitude cloud formations. Constructed from lightweight titanium, both frames balance structural integrity with minimal material use, pairing circular lenses with seamlessly integrated folding architecture. The result is a collection that moves beyond traditional eyewear references, using engineering and atmospheric observation to inform form.
