KAPTAIN SUNSHINE and Barbour Look to the Archives for Spring/Summer '26 Capsule
Following on from their Autumn/Winter ‘25 project, KAPTAIN SUNSHINE and Barbour come together for Spring/Summer ‘26, with a two-piece capsule inspired by the British label’s rich outerwear archive.
Marking the third time the duo has linked up, they have created two styles inspired by the practicality of maritime workwear, the very principles on which Barbour was built in 1894. Culminating in two outerwear styles, first we look at the Transport Smock - a pullover blouson made from dry wax cotton - inspired by the Transport Jacket from 2000, with a detachable vest. Next, the Endurance Coat is a reconstructed version of the same nomenclature from the early 90s, featuring a layered blouson that can be worn independently and propels the garment into the collaborative universe of Barbour and KAPTAIN SUNSHINE. Despite their heritage-indebted origins, care has been taken to ensure they are useful every day while maintaining character through archive-inspired details and materiality.
