Unlikely Autumn/Winter '25
From the mind of DAIWA PIER39 design director, Shinsuke Nakada, Unlikely casts its sights on deriving inspiration from a wider array of sources and not limiting itself to just one.
Having said that, the relatively young label, which launched in Autumn/Winter ‘23, blends motifs and cues from Ivy, workwear, sportswear, and American traditional into its latest offering. The result is a healthy dose of outerwear, light tailoring, trousers, shirting, sweatshirts, luggage, and tops. Denim trucker jackets, mountain down parkas, varsity jackets with leather sleeves, and buttery suede bomber jackets form the diverse outerwear, striking a balance between everyday styles and essential weatherproofing. For legwear, Unlikely offers an equally expansive range, varying from velour track pants, denim jeans, corduroy slacks, and overdyed canvas work trousers. As a nod to collegiate uniforms, a ‘Central Park’ sweatshirt has been produced, with a white print overlaid on a forest green base. Shirting rounds off the collection, and styles arrive without collars, where appropriate, and adorned with stripes.
