MOUNTAIN RESEARCH Unveils its Autumn/Winter '25 Collection
MOUNTAIN RESEARCH has unveiled its Autumn/Winter ‘25 collection, pledging to create ‘Mountaineers Heaven’.
Striking a balance between technical synthetic materials and exposed natural materials, MOUNTAIN RESEARCH reveals a slew of apparel and accessories that follow its Anarcho Mountaineers policy, loosely defined as outdoor wear done differently. Outerwear is comprised of down jackets, corduroy pea coats, orange overcoats with fireman’s clasps, and field jackets. Similarly, legwear arrives in an array of shapes, sizes, and textures, laden with pockets, where appropriate, and D-rings for outdoor use. Owing to the natural ruggedness of worn-in outdoor clothing, t-shirts and sweatshirts are pre-distressed and overdyed, while other styles feature exposed stitching. As a nod to the General Research era, when inspiration for the label was more diverse, ‘Parasite’-style pocketing appears on wool plaid shirting and legwear alongside D-ring clips. Models are pictured wrapped in sleeping bags, holding ice picks, and eating noodles from stainless steel cookware, simply highlighting Setsumasa Kobayashi’s love of all things outdoors.
