mfpen Spring/Summer '26
As Sigurd Bank’s label, mfpen, approaches its ninth anniversary, we begin to experience a sense of familiarity, one defined by an ongoing study of corporate uniforms and tailoring.
Spring/Summer ‘26 reflects on the designer’s formative years, influenced by the mall goth movement that tinted the ‘90s alternative scene, and delivers them from the perspective of an individual confined to corporate attire. Taking this on board, the offering comprises shirting, versatile tailoring, outerwear, jeans, shorts, accessories and long-sleeved tops. Garments are elevated beyond just corporate drones by using distressed textures, deadstock fabrics, gender-fluid silhouettes, and striped detailing in abundance. Rendered in a muted palette of fine stripes and subtle checks, the collection explores the tension between uniformity and identity.
