CYDERHOUSE Hosts a Three-Day Pop-Up in Harajuku Celebrating the MA-1 Jacket
From Friday to Sunday, CYDERHOUSE, a friend and collaborator of eye_C, will host an event paying homage to the MA-1 Flight Jacket, arguably one of the most iconic outerwear silhouettes of all time and a common creative canvas.
Started by Yuji Okamoto, a Bunka Fashion College alumnus, in 2010, CYDERHOUSE counts the likes of UNDERCOVER and eye_C as past collaborators, referencing the golden era of Urahara with punk-inspired graphics, styling, and attitude. Customising MA-1s isn’t new to Yuji or CYDERHOUSE, as they use the jacket to convey certain messages, from sustainability to opposing war by changing the jacket’s original shape, flipping what was once a symbol of war into a form of self-expression. During the pop-up, visitors will have several iterations of the MA-1 to choose from, featuring graphic artwork and braided designs.
