New Balance Brings the Made in USA 1300JP Up to Modern Standards

Releasing just once every five years, New Balance’s Made in USA 1300JP, coinciding this year with ‘Grey Days’, is gearing up for a 2025 remaster.

A cornerstone of the Bostonian footwear label’s offering, the 1300JP is not just recognised for its unrivalled craftsmanship but also for its forty-year legacy. Upon its release in 1985, the 1300JP redefined the public’s perception of what a luxury running shoe could look like and perform, setting a precedent for other brands and designers of what was possible. Lauded for combining technological innovation and premium materials, the 1300JP is constructed using premium suede and nubuck and holds superior cushioning provided by full-length ENCAP. The upper comprises green, blue, and grey tones. Bearing the Made in USA status, the 1300JP is meticulously crafted in New Balance’s Skowhegan, Maine, manufacturing facility to a level of detail and expertise uncommon in today’s world.
