INVINCIBLE and Converse Present the Wave Trainer "Decon Wave"
No stranger to collaborating on footwear or apparel, the Taiwan-based retailer INVINCIBLE presents its latest project with Converse on the Wave Trainer ‘Decon Wave’. This time, though, there’s a catch: the Wave Trainer is limited to 100 pieces and is only available to select friends and family.
First released in 1989, Converse’s Wave Trainer has remained in the brand’s arsenal for over three decades, cementing itself as an enduring symbol of footwear design, carrying the OG ‘One Star’ logo with pride. INVINCIBLE is the latest partner to tackle the Wave Trainer, appearing here in the ‘Decon Wave’ colour scheme, characterised by its tonal grey, beige, and white leather and suede concoction dominating the upper, an ode to the original running silhouette. Across the upper, the leather appears pre-worn with cracking and creasing, providing a vintage-like patina. A perforated toe box allows for greater breathability, while a slimmed-down, collapsible heel offers a lighter wearing experience. INVINCIBLE branding is engraved on the heel and insole, while Converse retains its ‘One Star’ logo on the sidewall.
