A Closer Look at the Down-Filled Riders Jacket by PHENIX
This season, Japanese skiwear brand phenix launched a fashion-focused offshoot, PHENIX, under the direction of Daisuke Gemma, who has worked across several sacai projects.
One of the styles that headlined the debut was a Down-Filled Rider Jacket, known officially as the ‘TYPE P-005’. Distilled through a form-meets-function lens, the rider jacket adopts a familiar silhouette modelled on motorcycle jackets and is primarily made from GORE-TEX Windstopper. The coat is insulated using a feather down, which supports its boxy structure. Additional details include four frontal zipper pockets, an asymmetric zipper opening, internal pockets, and action pleats on the back sleeves. It is available in black or beige.
