NEEDLES and PURPLE THINGS Develop an Apparel Capsule for Spring/Summer '23
Following a string of collaborations with the likes of Sasquatchfabrix. and MIYAGIHIDETAKA, NEEDLES doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon as it welcomes PURPLE THINGS to be its latest partner for Spring/Summer ‘23 on a concise apparel capsule.
Conceived under the shared theme of ‘Camouflage’, the capsule mirrors the individual identities of NEEDLES and PURPLE THINGS in one, incorporating familiar Tiger Print, branded iconography and purple hues. Between the two of them, they have developed a line-up that includes a total of nine garments across jackets, bottoms, tops, headwear and a sacoche bag. In a playful spin on tradition, NEEDLES’ iconic track pants and jacket are equipped with BDU pockets and D-ring attachments, while the safari hat and cargo vest are constructed using heavy-duty mesh material. Despite this being their debut project, they have cultivated a strong identity within the capsule.
