Snow Peak and New Balance Return with an All-Black R_C4 Collaboration

Snow Peak and New Balance Return with an All-Black R_C4 Collaboration

After releasing a 3-in-1 footwear collaboration that was singularly tailored to outdoor lifestyles, Snow Peak and New Balance, specifically the Tokyo Design Studio branch, have returned for their third joint effort on an all black leather version of the R_C4.

The latest collaboration is an upgraded iteration of their original R_C4 release. The first major difference is the panels surrounding the upper, which was previously crafted with rubber. The new version features premium leather panels, which improve durability, stain resistance, and pair perfectly with the GORE-TEX uppers. A plethora of technical advancements in functionality and comfort that were seen in the past version return such as the Vibram ABZORB outsole. Additional features include the magnetic Fidlock straps that support the mid-top ankle area and the ENCAP EVA midsole, providing excellent cushion with every step. Complimentary wool socks provide heat retention and softness while quickly drying when wet.

Check out the accompanying photo exhibition entitled "Tokyo-Sanjo" by photographer Yusuke Yamatani at the innovative T-HOUSE New Balance, and stay tuned for the release on February 19.
