DELUXE and Evisen Skateboards Bring Traditional Garb to the Skate Park

DELUXE and Evisen Skateboards Bring Traditional Garb to the Skate Park

Finding a balance between the rough edge of skate apparel and the loose elegance of traditional Japanese garments, DELUXE and Evisen Skateboards team up for quite a Spring-ready collaboration.

Co-created graphics sit as the focal point of their efforts, summing up their quite hybridized theme in a styling of Japanese characters atop branded graffiti-esque stenciling. These find their way throughout the set piece of accessories — which take the pleasantly unorthodox form of folding fans as well as more apt skateboard decks — as well as monochrome ensembles of outerwear and short sleeve basics. The more adventurous of the bunch, the noragi jacket, appropriates the cultural piece for a skate setting while a contemporary overshirt casts the same constructions in quite a different light, though their airy fabrics and subtly embellished embroidery are surely no different in their allure.

Grab a detailed look at each of the forthcoming accompaniments below and ready yourself for the capsule’s release on April 24th.
