iise, led by brother duo Kevin and Terrence Kim, taps into Korea’s protest history by incorporating riot-inspired themes and bold graphics for their latest Spring/Summer 2019 campaign.

The brand’s made-in-Seoul lookbook, inspired by several renaissance and baroque period painters, references images of the dynamic relationship between riot police and civilian protesters. Crowded groups are shown wearing riot police inspired Vests and Cargos in addition to the Clear Hooded Anorak with the clear hood being a widely seen detail in police raincoats. Furthermore, seemingly casual yet elegantly constructed Coach Jackets bear the exact same badge pattern and colorways found on all Korean police jackets but flipped with the iise logo, The most obvious inspired piece is the Riot Hoodie patterned with zoomed in riot photographs.

See the entire lookbook below and shop the pieces at iise’s online shop.
