HYKE Fall/Winter '19

HYKE Fall/Winter '19

Japanese label HYKE continues its oversized, tonal craft with SS19, bringing new styles to the runway while adding yet another another edition to the long-running and immensely popular North Face collaboration.

Among toggle coats with asymmetric fasteners and seemingly traditional overcoats are starring military inspired hues, boasting olive drab in en-massed next to a new cast of deep greens, light creams, and every imaginable shade of brown. Tops range from basic — with crewnecks and graphic TNF tops filling that category — to eccentric in their fur-adorned sleeves or fringed shawl constructions, with the following North Face pieces borrowing a few notes in silhouette. Departing slightly from the elongated bodies of last season, the newest mountaineering arrangements favor shorter length with only a few arriving in longer variants. Fleece blousons, accentuated down coats, and a mountain parka that billows in both sleeves and torso all arrive alongside mainline with a collection that is unsurprisingly strong.
