KAPTAIN SUNSHINE Spring/Summer '19

KAPTAIN SUNSHINE Spring/Summer '19

Shinsuke Kojima has always been enamored by vintage Americana when it comes to his Tokyo-based brand KAPTAIN SUNSHINE. While drawing from a rich understanding of heritage clothing, KAPTAIN SUNSHINE showcases a modern adaptation of these influences as continued in the latest Spring/Summer 2019 collection.

The lookbook captures the essence of warmer weather by showcasing the varied collection in a natural environment surrounded by cliff rocks and the adjacent seaside. Pieces blend tan and olive military influences with the relaxed silhouettes of American workwear alongside a heavy dose of plaid patterns. Outerwear jackets which include classic button up jackets, hooded parkas, tailored blazer jackets, and long coats are crafted with lightweight fabrics such as linen-like materials. Stripes and plaids comprise many of the minimal tops while bottoms include khaki overalls, relaxed trousers, and above-the-knee shorts.
