SUGARHILL Autumn/Winter '18
SUGARHILL takes inspiration from the Benn Watts Z’s photo collection to present an impactful AW18 collection entitled “Tender.” Aiming to touch on the “kindness, fragility, and immatureness of youth,” the lookbook dons a deconstructive aesthetic that is a reflection of these themes.
The collection itself is a highly curated range of vintage garments updated for a more modern context. Among classic trousers and more basic shirting are key outerwear silhouettes like the brown B-3 bomber, enlarged houndstooth print coat, and classic camel trench. As a fitting nod to the overall theme of the collection, the range’s set of varsity jackets sport a “NOTHING’S GONNA HURT YOU BABY” print along the back while the worker’s jacket favors a more brash embroidery of “Rock your ass.”
