GRS Handpaints Indigo Garments for a Limited AW18 Capsule

GRS Handpaints Indigo Garments for a Limited AW18 Capsule

The deep blue tones of indigo make it a perfect canvas for customization, seeing the wildest of patchwork as well as even the most destructive distressing. Focusing more on technique and the inherent beauty of a well honed craft, GRS taps into the techniques of various cultures to present a limited sashiko capsule.

At the core of the entire range lies three starring silhouettes: a militaristic liner that calls back to the inners of a field jacket, a similarly styled vest, and a tee complete with a Henley neckline. Though one can choose for the baseline versions of each piece, the two sets of outerwear have a much more limited hand-painted edition, which taps into the meticulous artists found predominantly in Hong Kong. Brushed onto the vintage Kendogi fabrics and elevated with the traditional Japanese Sashiko embroidery, the capsule will age beautifully once worn lovingly.
