The North Face Purple Label teams with Spike Jonze for a set of collaborative bags

It’s not very often that we see the nuanced world of film blend with the equally complex realm of fashion, but it’s surprisingly fitting to tap into the mind of Spike Jonze for a collaborative capsule with The North Face Purple Label. The director — whose work on the fashion-mindful movie Her — is tapping into his past to craft something much more meaningful than the ordinary accessory.

Run by the talented team behind nanamica, TNF Purple Label has always prided itself on quality, utilitarian pieces and its collections surely speak volumes to that. Taking on inspiration from the bags used by Jonze’s mother during their family camping trips, the collective aims to recreate the magic while modernizing them in a plaid wool. The 3Way Bag and Shuttle Roller don an Italian check pattern textile from Para that live up to Jonze’s personal vision.

Take a look at the full set of imagery below and make sure to stay tuned for a release this Saturday, November 10th.
