Margaret Howell Spring/Summer '19

Margaret Howell’s many contemporary styles have become quite a topic of interest for more minimal dressers. With the label’s unmatched attention to detail and high quality construction, the pieces — though somewhat simple on the exterior — leave a lot to admire. Spring/Summer ‘19 is much of the same with the atelier focusing on all aspects of its shirting, outerwear, and series of trousers.

Earth tones are a plenty throughout the entire range, encompassing many shades of brown and grey with a stark set of black and navy garments to offset many a Spring-colored look. Trousers are kept wide and cropped — as is fitting of the label’s overall aesthetic — with many overcoats cut to drape along the body. Much of the shirting is kept loose in the sleeves and chest, adding a much more laid back ethos that pairs perfectly with other garments. Blazers are somewhat more refined, though once paired with accompanying shorts, they further emphasize the casual theme.
