N.HOOLYWOOD Spring/Summer '19

N.HOOLYWOOD fears not the bold with its eclectic curation of designs aligned under the SS19 season. In contrast to AW18, the newest line-up is a much bolder note that plays on silhouette, color, and pattern, encapsulating a maximalist aesthetic with a fine attention to detail.

Designed by Daisuke Obana, each piece carries a sort of indescribable allure that borrows inspiration from the vintage garments with which the designer had much experience. Tongue-in-cheek logo hits sit alongside many militaristic outerwear pieces while imbuing modern notes of tie-dye and color blocking. Styling takes influence from a variety of different subcultures — further elevated by the effortless layering — which add a bit of familiarity to what is a welcome change for the Japanese label.
