For Spring/Summer 2027, elephant TRIBAL fabrics construct a collection from the memories and experiences held within a wardrobe.
Titled ‘William Closet,’ the collection considers the closet as more than a place of storage. It becomes an archive of different seasons, stages of life and defining moments, with each garment carrying its own sense of time. These accumulated memories are reconstructed through layered fabrics, contrasting details and familiar silhouettes that appear to have evolved through years of wear.
Remaining rooted in military and vintage clothing, designer Ryota Kimiduka continues the brand’s exploration of the space between the ordinary and extraordinary. Recognisable forms and functions are subtly disrupted, transforming the familiar into something unexpected. Fabric choices, pocket placements, and silhouettes all become a point of exploration.
