Mountain Research Launches its Autumn/Winter '26 Collection
Setsumasa Kobayashi’s Mountain Research presents a far-from-traditional interpretation of outdoor clothing for Autumn/Winter ‘26, in line with the brand’s vision of mountain living.
Leaning into a host of inspirations beyond the outdoors, Mountain Research looks at sportswear, Ivy, and workwear uniforms, distilling their individual traits into a versatile offering. The result is a range of knitwear, functional outerwear, insulating tops, utility-focused bags and accessories, shirting, bottoms, and more. Garments are accessorised and decorated with familiar taglines like ‘Anarchy in the Mountain’ and ‘Anarcho Mountaineers’, as well as taping and stitched logos. Where outdoor clothing is typically defined by drab colours, Mountain Research pushes its palette to the nth degree, not straying away from cyan blues, yellows, and sharp greens. Still, black, navy, earthy browns and greens play their role.
