Song for the Mute and adidas Originals Preview the Stan Smith and TRAXION 1000
Unveiled during its debut runway show at Paris Fashion Week, Song for the Mute takes on adidas’ Stan Smith as well as the TRAXION 1000.
Historically, the Australian-born label has applied a signature touch to lesser-known (or less desirable) adidas silhouettes, from the Country OG to the Taekwondo. Now, though, they have picked up on the Stan Smith as the Three Stripes furthers its reissue, and the TRAXION 1000, an in-line hybrid sandal, softly launched through this collaboration. The Stan Smith adopts a familiar mixed-material approach, combining canvas, leather, and suede while preserving the shoe’s iconic styling. Colourways include a classic white, pink/white, and grey/navy. In comparison, the TRAXION 1000 takes a functional directive; built like a water shoe, it features a breathable mesh upper, Quicklacing, and a grippy rubber outsole. Two colours are available: yellow/black and cream/black.
