Gander Incorporates Deadstock Heritage Fabrics in its Upcoming Patchwork Capsule

Gander taps into deadstock heritage fabrics in its upcoming patchwork capsule, comprising two of its cornerstone silhouettes: the Peveril Jacket and Deans Shirt.

Here, the material used is a handwoven Nantong Cloth dating to nearly 100 years ago, an integral piece of China’s cultural heritage, predominantly composed of straight lines, squares, and rectangles. On this occasion, Gander has opted for an array of naturally dyed indigo-and-white Reed Mat patterns, considered the original Ming-Qing style. The Peveril Jacket and Deans Shirt retain their inherent structure and characteristics, such as chest pockets and cord adjustability, with the exception of the unique materiality.
