nanamica and Mēdeia 01 Feature the Work of Shomei Tomatsu in Debut Collaboration
nanamica debuts its collaboration with publisher Mēdeia 01, a project that communicates social and global issues through the lens of fashion and art.
Here, the pair features the works of Japanese photographer Shomei Tomatsu, specifically the ‘Plastics’ series, which captured marine debris along the Kujukuri coastline, on a range of t-shirts and tote bags. Tomatsu’s work is printed on the pieces alongside nanamica’s ‘One Ocean, All Lands’ slogan, expressing the idea that we are all connected to the ocean in some way, bringing wider attention to growing marine pollution from the perspective of art and design.
