REGAL Shoe & Co. Bridges Traditional Shoemaking with Modern Functionality in Updated Tyrolean

As we enter Spring, REGAL Shoe & Co. offers an updated take on the Tyrolean silhouette with the Tyrolean HYB GTX, merging its shoemaking expertise with modern functionality.

Found buried deep in the Japanese footwear brand’s archive, this Tyrolean silhouette is rooted in Alpine heritage, originally known as ‘Alpine Moccasins’ and supporting trekkers across the Alps, but has been repositioned as a city shoe without sacrificing its historical importance. Maintaining aspects of traditional craftsmanship, the shoe is made in Japan from genuine leather and features outdoor-ready technologies, including a GORE-TEX membrane for increased weather protection and a Vibram outsole for enhanced grip on wet or unstable terrain. Contrasting the all-leather upper is a wrap-around suede toe guard and another hit on the heel cup. The collar is cut lower than a typical Tyrolean silhouette, increasing the shoe’s wearability in the city. Two sets of laces accompany the shoe: a speckled pair and a white pair.
