HAVEN Explores Hand-Dyeing GORE-TEX Fabrics in Highly-Limited Run of the Spectre Jacket
Channelling a shared appreciation of craft and experimentation, HAVEN explored hand-dyeing GORE-TEX on its Spectre Jacket, inspired by the work of Benjamin Fenton.
This marks HAVEN’s first exploration into dyeing GORE-TEX by hand, resulting in a study in how technical fabrics can evolve through careful experimentation. The garments are manufactured in Okayama, Japan, using deadstock GORE-TEX PRO 3L fabric. Each piece was individually hand-dyed in HAVEN’s studio over two days, one at a time, creating two colourways: Indigo and Rust. Subtle shifts in tone and surface emerge naturally through the process, ensuring no two garments are identical. After dyeing, each garment was refinished with a renewed DWR treatment to maintain weather resistance and performance integrity and finished with our signature leather zipper pullers.
