Fields of Necessity Autumn/Winter '26 is a Study of Clothing Archetypes

Fields of Necessity Autumn/Winter '26 is a Study of Clothing Archetypes

Headed up by ex-Margaret Howell designer, Peter Han, Fields of Necessity has unveiled its debut collection for Autumn/Winter ‘26, showing later this week in Paris.

Instead of offering a full collection, Autumn/Winter ‘26 serves as an opportunity to highlight the principles on which Fields of Necessity is built: longevity, functionality, and comfort. Silhouettes remain restrained, allowing the wearer to build around them, and fabrics and colour are transitional. For its first offering, the result is refined to a handful of styles, from shirting and light jackets to knitwear and trousers. Variations come by fabric and finish, such as cashmere, wool, cotton twill, and corduroy. Highlights include the Double Pocket Shirt, Chunky Lambswool Crewneck, Minimal Blazer Jacket, and the Reverse Terry Sweatshirt.

The collection can be viewed during Paris Fashion Week at the MAN/WOMAN showroom from the 23rd to the 25th of January at Pavillon Vendôme, 7 Place Vendôme.
