White Mountaineering Previews New Apparel Line for Spring/Summer '26
Titled ‘Wair’, White Mountaineering’s new line, debuting in Spring/Summer ‘26, comprises a range of seamless unisex knitwear.
Seamless knitwear was popularised by skiers and preferred for its ability to retain heat without holding moisture or odours. While it has always been prevalent in such fields, in recent years it has transcended into the wider fashion zeitgeist and has been engineered for daily use. One of the most prominent examples comes from the launch of Goldwin 0, back in 2022, when Julia Rodowicz leaned into WHOLEGARMENT knitting, a process of manufacturing that reduces the need for seams in the garment, creating a more fluid and ergonomic silhouette
In its debut season, Wair will release a total of eleven styles across jackets, trousers, cut-and-sew tops, shirts, and more, prioritising breathability, ergonomics, and lightness. Tops, jackets, and shirts are body-mapped, with lighter knit in areas that need more ventilation and freer movement. Bottoms are typically devoid of seams, which creates a looser silhouette.
