RANRA Spring/Summer '25 Embodies the Essence of Icelandic Nature

For Spring/Summer ‘25, RANRA, the Icelandic design studio, embodies the natural spirit of its homeland and the connection its people share with the land.

RANRA follows a similar path taken in previous collections of experimentation through fabric and form, simultaneously playing with colour and texture. Interpretations of archival military, workwear, and sportswear silhouettes are executed with technical expertise, utilising fabrics developed alongside Majocchi that are natural, either by feel or composition, yet functional. For example, workwear-inspired garments made using silk for maximum breathability and cotton canvas that repels water. RANRA is changing the perception of natural materials. As a result, the collection consists of light outerwear styles, knitwear, tailoring made in Iceland, legwear, accessories and more.

To accompany its apparel offering, RANRA has reissued the KALT shoe, the label’s first in-house foray into footwear. Inspired by vintage climbing footwear, the handcrafted KALT shoe is made to perform on Iceland’s rugged terrain. The upper is crafted from felted wool, lending flexible and lightweight properties, and the outsole is fitted with Vibram for increased traction.

As Paris Fashion Week crests the horizon, expect to see a preview of RANRA’s Autumn/Winter ‘25 collection in the coming weeks.
