INNAT and WILD THINGS Prepare an Archive-Inspired Capsule Collection
INNAT lends its signature touch to a handful of outdoor-ready WILD THINGS silhouettes in the duo’s debut collection, with an archive-inspired version of the “Makalu Jacket” at the centre of this collaboration.
At the core of the collaboration is the Garment-Dyed Makalu Down Jacket, a reconstruction of the WILD THINGS archive piece through INNAT's unique perspective. While retaining retro-outdoor details, such as the vintage logo patch and rounded silhouette, the design has been updated with a stowable 2-way hood, an adjustable back length, and a large game pocket. In true, yet rare form for a down jacket, INNAT has applied its signature garment dyeing technique (pigment dye) to a down jacket. The contrast in dye absorption between cotton and nylon produces a naturally faded, irregular texture, resulting in a one-of-a-kind vintage-inspired finish.
In addition to the Makalu Jacket is a series of fleece-clad garments reminiscent of 90s outdoor wear, using POLARTEC’s WIND PRO fabric. This includes a Pullover, Pants, Mittens, and Storm Hoodie, all of which feature a pigment print that has been bio-washed, lending a naturally-aged patina.
