Gloverall Taps norbit by Hiroshi Nozawa for Outerwear Capsule
Gloverall and norbit, headed up by Japanese designer Hiroshi Nozawa, come together on a two-piece outerwear capsule for the winter months.
Blending Gloverall’s signature styling and heritage with norbit’s approach to technical design, the duo finds balance in two iconic British outerwear silhouettes, the Morris Coat and Monty Duffle, redesigned for modern life. The capsule is led by the Monty Duffle Jacket, a contemporary take on a Gloverall classic designed with movement and versatility in mind. Constructed from a three-layer performance fabric, the coat is built for changing conditions, with Polartec® fleece offering warmth, a waterproof membrane shielding from the elements, and a tricot backing with static resistance. Panels are reinforced in Cordura® nylon and treated with a water-repellent finish, providing extra durability where it’s most needed. Additional touches courtesy of norbit include elbow patches, a spindle drawcord at the waist, and four-way front pockets nod to hunting jackets.
Rounding off the collection is the Morris Coat, a functional take on a military-inspired silhouette, cut shorter for ease of movement and versatility. Constructed using the same three-layer performance fabric (Polartec, waterproof membrane, and tricot backing), the Morris Coat is engineered to offer comfort in even the most inclement conditions, with Cordura-reinforced panels. Finishing touches include signature wooden toggles and jute rope fastenings, 3-way front pockets, elbow patches, and twin rear game pockets with concealed zips. Both styles are made in Japan.
