Punk-inspired label LAD MUSICIAN stays true to its dark-themed roots for its Autumn/Winter 2019 collection entitled “NEW DISORDER”.
Attempting to capture the philosophical ideas of “existence” and interpreting the clash between oriental and Western culture, the collection displays this struggle through contrasting top and bottom silhouettes. Outerwear pieces are over-extended, reaching below the knees, and often oversized with draped fabric and layering while bottoms are dominantly tapered and slim-fitting. Color schemes and patterns are even clashing with bright, elegant flower graphics inspired by 19th century paintings patterned on muted black coats and tees as their canvas. The chaos of the collection’s theme can be characterized by a graphic tee decorated with a disorderly, crumbled print of the “NEW DISORDER” text.
