YOKE Autumn/Winter '19
Norio Terada’s burgeoning label YOKE has long been touted as a display of knit mastery, though with the expansive set of styles for AW19, the Japanese imprint is proving it has the right to play in all courts.
Outerwear takes the focus here, with pieces ranging from largely traditional to loosely new age as quite a few of its styles divert heavily from their time-worn muses. Blazers, either arriving in smaller plaid patterns or solid Autumnal hues, feature large lapels atop even larger cuts while going further in embellishments through cinches at the waist or by layered bodies. Bare blousons are similarly wide in the body with comically large wrist openings staying within the lines of overarching themes. Overcoats, in beautifully textured wools, don slits at their side — fastened down by a button closure for those who prefer — much like the drop shoulder hoodies. Of course, knitwear finds its way here as well, opting for modular sleeves for unpredictable weather.
All that and quite a bit more can be found here, so be sure to double check at the full collection below.
